The Essential Design

Our entry level sites start with a simple informational approach. We design:

1. a custom header
2. layout (columns and rows; their quantity, sizes and placement)
3. color theme and graphic extras (e.g., "buttons")
4. accept images and text from you and then edit/shape it to create a finished product

We can step up to one where content includes anything from motion galleries of images to forms that allow large file uploads; from dynamic/interfacing databases to special security features,; e.g., custom logins into particular areas of a site for staff. Virtually any function you see on the Internet is within our capacity to reproduce.

CMS (content management system)

From Salem to Newburyport, and Gloucester to Lawrence, many people want to manage some or all of their content over time (cms). We can also design cms for MA, NH and ME businesses and non-profit organizations, either for partial or full control of the pages of a site.

There are dozens, even hundreds, of dynamic components that can become part of a website!

After the initial site is up, then what?

Ideally, always evolving, refreshed weekly, every few weeks or months, changes to your site are also important for search engine optimization! Good websites include new graphics, events, surveys, news (ask us about our blog writing service), and other components to attract new and repeat visits. We offer maintenance services at low monthly or quarterly fees.

Alternatively, we can build CMS into your site, enabling you to make the changes yourself if you are somewhat tech-savvy.

Note that each site is unique, created for its particular audience and according to the client's budget. Many important functions of some sites are not visible. We encourage you to ask about reproducing any function you see on the Internet. It's likely we can do it.

Website Maintenance Overview

If you can't envision taking the time to do the necessary updates to a website - or maybe you don't have staff who have the skills to write copy and gather the right photos - we perform web updates and create custom maintenance contracts that respond to your business needs online.

We can also search for industry related events, new product text, change the executive greeting, and more. We take care of these tasks on your behalf at a reasonable fee, leaving you to work on what you need to.

When we say "website maintenance", we mean adding/changing content; be it text, images or video, over time at regular planned intervals ("development" on the other hand means adding pages, functionality, and conversion to cms, which we also do). In performing maintenance service there are 2 main options:

• Client provides us with the content, we then edit (i.e., text copy, images) and insert it
• Client provides us with all the content 100% edited (e.g., sized, cropped) and we insert it
• We provide the content by researching relative images, copy and videos (as applicable)
  

It is an infrequent situation when we are NOT able to research and gather the content ourselves. Examples of when we can't provide the content is when that content is intended for a viewership of experts in a scientific area (deep medicine, engineering, etc.). If the content is,
however, intended for a general audience, we can normally research, gather edit and articulate the information in your website. Our team is well educated.

In all cases, we will require cpanel login information or ftp to access your site's files, whether it is a custom website (e.g., designed in Dreamweaver) or CMS website (e.g., Wordpress, Drupal, Joomla). We require a deposit and the aforementioned login information before beginning any contracts for website updates.
